| Hello and thanks for taking taking a peek at my profile. I'm primarily a digital artist by trade, though I do pull out the canvas and acrylics once and a while. I studied graphic design and film at the University of Miami in the late 90s but ended up focusing on project development and web design. Now I'm trying to get back to my roots, redeveloping my artistic side. I consider myself a "pop-retrophile", focusing primarily on the styles and influences of the mid 20th century. The subjects of my art are typically pretty girls (pin-up), robots and flying saucers (scifi), drive-in movie theaters and tiki bars. There are a million artists out there using these themes to inform their work, but I hope to bring something a little different to it. I also write a blog at toyshopgreetings.com, where I write about some things that fascinate me. Lots of photo essays on American retail culture and the like. |
